Activating the Archive

Activating the Archive with Echo Park Film Center is a free 8 week, 8 session film class for youth to explore and question the nature of visual archives and the many ways that they can be activated through new practices. We invite local youth to question what makes up an archive, delve into existing collections and create their own short piece through film and video. FREE to participating teens: 14-19 years old. No Experience Necessary.
All instruction, materials, equipment and field trips will be provided at no cost by EPFC. The program also includes field trips to local community archives in the Los Angeles area. Tap cards with fare will be provided.
