Creativity Club with artist Julie Williams. Creativity Club will show you different ways to create spontaneous images. We will work to quiet our inner critic and get our hands moving as we explore drawing, doodling watercolors and collage as we learn methods for storytelling through visual art. Through drawing games and collaborative projects we will reconnect to the joy of drawing as play! Creative focus helps lower stress and increase resilience. This class is for everyone at any skill level.
Julie Williams is an artist with interests in sculpture, mosaic, drawing and collaborating with under-resourced communities. Her artwork often uses recycled materials to reinvent the familiar into new and inviting forms. Her work has been exhibited in group shows in the Southern California area. As a community teaching artist she seeks to build skills as well as community and connection. Julie lives and works in North East Los Angeles.
