Come explore patterns! We will be creating patterns using the tagaram stamp pad along with circles. We will be looking at patterns in art by Anni Albers, Bridget Riley, and Vera Molnár.
Tangrams are puzzles invented in China sometime around the late 18th century and then carried over to other parts of the world. They’re made out of seven flat polygons, called tans which together, form an image.
The shapes in a tangram are:
- 2 large right triangles
- 1 medium right triangle
- 2 small right triangles
- 1 square
- 1 parallelogram
Project materials onsite:
- tangam stamp pad, ink and paper.
- Triangle, circle and square sponges, tempera paint and paper.
