On Sunday March 9, we’re celebrating the finale of gloria galvez’s exhibit home is where the bat is with Bat Day!
From 10am to 2pm, bring the little ones to sow the seeds of plants that attract food sources for bats with teaching artist Jess Ofelia Sandoval, art activity focused on bat’s ecosystems with Bed & Breakfast. And take your future seedings home to plant in your own garden! Oak tree seedling provided by Tree People.
And from 11am to 2pm, take a moment to record your observations and perceptions in the park! Join Brian Young of Nature Nexus Institute in a habitat journaling and sketching exercise.
For more information about Sunday, please check out the main page for home is where the bat is.
This week we also have Latin Jazz Sessions on Thursday March 6, and on Saturday we have Community Arts and Community Band. Everything is free and open to everyone, so we hope to see you in the park!
